Health Tip: Eating Healthier

👤by Diana Kohnle 0 comments 🕔Friday, November 18th, 2016

(HealthDay News) -- You may have the best of intentions for healthier eating, but the holidays tempt even the most motivated people.

The American Heart Association suggests:

Stock up on nutritious snacks and keep them on hand to avoid munching on junk food. Pause before hitting the buffet table to remind yourself how badly you want to lose weight. Load your plate with fruit, veggies and a small serving of less-healthy fare. Don't go back for seconds. Prepare meals in advance to keep yourself from the drive-through line when you're hungry after work. Drink a big glass of water when you start craving something unhealthy. This helps tell your stomach you're full.
