Health Tip: Watching Calories

👤by Diana Kohnle 0 comments 🕔Wednesday, December 23rd, 2015

(HealthDay News) -- Most people know the importance of counting calories, but there are other eating factors to note.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention explains:

Low-fat and fat-free foods are not necessarily low in calories, since they may contain sugar. Don't focus just on carbohydrates. Doing so may lead to you consume too many calories and miss out on important dietary nutrients. Even if you're exercising enough, it's still important to watch your calorie intake. Make sure you aren't consuming more calories than you burn. Genetics and environment also may play a role in your weight.
